Healing Sounds for Libra

As the Sun enters Libra, we are asked to put our best foot forward, wear a charming smile, and summon our inner diplomat. Our place within our various personal and professional relationships moves into the forefront of our awareness. We begin to consider the meaning and viability of such relationships, examining the ways in which we might improve upon them. In doing so, we often choose to become more considerate, more cooperative, and more willing to compromise. In some cases, we are driven merely to appear “nice,” as we attempt to come across as more refined, more concerned with the welfare of others than we actually are. Occasionally, this can lead to needless judgment, as we project the inauthenticity we are dabbling in onto others. If we choose to honestly reflect on the truth of our motivations, this too can be extremely enlightening, and serve the betterment of our relationships, as authenticity is given a chance to overtake appearances and charm. 

 

This is also an excellent time for beautification, similar to the influence of the Sun in Virgo, but with less emphasis on detail. With the Sun in Libra, we are given a more instinctive approach to esthetics, and are more likely to remember to step back and view the entire picture. We are less prone to analysis paralysis, but more prone to superficiality. To make the best of the lessons offered by this time, we must use this as an opportunity to legitimately refine our taste and skill, rather than merely appearing to have done so.

The Sun offers the gift of life itself to otherwise bare rock, and guides its creations forward and upward through the aeons. It’s effect on us never wavers, even if we cannot see it.
