The Sun makes its movement through Virgo every year from around August 23rd through around September 23.
By focusing on key energies of Virgo during the time of the Sun’s transit, we can better use the energetic potentials available to us.
A powerful theme for Virgo is LISTENING TO YOUR BODY.
This time of year is full of amazing opportunities for making positive adjustments to your diet, exercise regimen or lifestyle, and getting routine or pending health diagnostics.
Here are some ways to maximize these potentials by LISTENING TO YOUR BODY:
~ Pay Attention While Eating
Very often our bodies give us instant cues about the how the foods we eat are affecting us. Notice how you feel before eating anything, then after the first bite tune in and look out for pain, discomfort, gas, or twinges/other noticeable response in your abdomen or anywhere else. Also look out for other cues, like sneezing. Sneezing regularly after you eat certain types of foods can alert you to a histamine flood or some other allergic type of response. Also note that these reactions may or may not come up with standard blood or scratch tests. If a certain food makes you sneeze every time but it never comes up as an issue on a diagnostic test, still consider avoiding this food.
Many foods will have the opposite effect and can infuse you with energy and positive feelings.
~ Focus on How You Feel Immediately After Meals (and an hour or more after meals)
When I made a switch away from excessive grain (espeically gluten) and sugar many years ago, I noticed that the afternoon sleeps that I thought were just a normal part of life, went away! How your body is experiencing what you recently ate will very likely be shown clearly when you pay attention to how you feel immediately and a while after eating.
~ Give Credence to Symptoms
Symptoms are the body’s way of telling us something needs attention in our bodies or lifestyle choices. Symptoms ignored usually persist and often worsen or change into worse manifestations. Make the decision to honor your body and be a super sleuth to figure out the origins of symptoms.
~ Prioritize Yourself
Humans have maintained as a habit this crazy behavior of thinking it is ok to take care of others but not themselves. Doing this is what teaches this to others making the patterns persist. Put your oxygen mask on first! Honor yourself and serve as a positive model for others by honoring your body, its rhythms, ever-changing needs, by paying attention, putting resources into your health and wellness, and doing this while FEELING GOOD about doing this. You will have more energy to help other people when you feel good then you can share from your overflow instead of always giving from a place of emptiness and working at a deficit. Make the creation of a surplus of energy bubbling from yourself a priority then happily share with others your overflow 🙂
The energy of Virgo rules the body, diet, exercise, health, nutrition, medicine and alternative therapies, organization, routine, pets/animals so anything in those areas will have more support at this time, too.
