All you need to make pure, refreshing magic is:
~ Large amounts of Ice (I have recently found bagged ice at the store from Mountain Spring Water!)
~ High quality drinking water
~ Any kind of Fruit ~ you can make fruit blends or use one featured fruit. I like to use a different fruit every day for these 🙂
~ Sweetener for some of the blends ~ the fruits that have lower sugar content may require a little extra sweetness
~ HERBS! ~ These are my secret key to crazy amazing slushies. I have an extensive herb garden and I relish in trying out different herbs with different fruits. Lemon thyme is of my favorites for making unique slushies.
Here are some slushies I have recently made:
~ Strawberry
~ Blueberry
~ Mojito (with mint, lime, and sweetener)
~ Watermelon
~ Canteloupe
~ Mango
~ Raspberry
~ Coconut Water
Here are some herbs I have added to my recently made slushies:
~ Basil (Regular, Purple, and African)
~ Thyme (Regular and Lemon)
~ Mint (Apple, Spearmint, Peppermint, Yerba Buena, Fruitasia, Mojito)
~ Sage
~ Rosemary
I also sometimes add sparkling water for some effervescence 🙂 and sometimes I use almond milk instead of water to make fruit-n-cream slushies.
I garnish with herb sprigs or herb flowers 🙂
You can use a blender or Nutribullet to create these cool yummies.
Enjoy!
