Drinking Hot Chocolate is one of my favorite ways to cozy up in the winter season. I love to experiment with different twists on beloved seasonal go-to’s.
Here is a recipe for my new favorite, which I call Hot Peppermint White Chocolate Bliss 🙂
You can adjust the amount to suit:
~ 4 cups of milk (I use unsweetened almond milk but you can use any type)
~ 7 hard peppermint candies/candy canes (I prefer organic but you can use whatever type you want 🙂 )
and then 4 more to crush for the top of each mug)
~ White chocolate bar or 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
~ 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
~ Sweeten to taste with sweetener of choice
~ Dairy or dairy-free whipped topping (I love Coco Whip made from Coconut Milk)
I like to use a blender or Nutribullet which thoroughly blends and adds awesome foam to mixture) Then I heat all ingredients to desired temperature (and making sure all chocolate is melted). Pour into mug and top with whip and crushed mints and enjoy!
