Gemini – February 2022

The Sun will roll through your 9th house this month activating your interest in places far away and sense of adventure. Travel yearnings abound and in instances where you can’t make a journey physically, stepping into being an “armchair warrior” will do, where watching, reading, or listening to others’ adventures can help fill that void for travel.  Another fun way to bring the energy of different geographies into your own without leaving your town is to have culinary adventures with “theme” nights with cooking from different countries and cultures.

This is a fantastic time to learn or deepen knowledge of another language 🙂

Potentials for long-distance or international travel are especially amplified at this time. But the odds are greatly increased that any travel adventures, near or far, await. While this time holds many great potentials for travel from the astrological perspective, of course, the manifestation of these potentials will be dependent on world and your local circumstances. To whet your travel appetite for the future and have more support and resources for trips you would love to take at some point, check out my travel blog AstrologyKissedTravelBliss.com. If it is possible to get your passport app going or find the passport you already have, so your ready in case a potential comes up, then that may be a good idea 😉 Even with the uncertainty brought by the current world changes, this area being lit up in your chart could bring something notable regarding international business, languages, connections, even without actual travel. Future trips might start to take shape bringing great joy and excitement.

The Sun’s movement through your 9th house can also activate spiritual studies or church-related activities.  Inspiration and optimism often accompany this transit so have a notebook ready for the great ideas and insights that will roll through you.  Opportunities to step up your participation in Spirit-driven activities will be more likely at this time. 

The desire to learn will likely be strong this month.  Going on a ‘library bender’ is a fantastic way to use this energy.  Courses of study and education of any kind could be a great use of the current and upcoming energy.  This could be an amazing time to take courses of study for hobby, self-development, or professional reasons.

Intuition will be strong and favoring it over logic may prove extra fruitful now.

Writing, publishing, and public speaking projects are lit up BEAUTIFULLY at this time!

The draw to teach may be very strong now and favors creation of curriculum or other offerings. The house lit up for you now is also the house of publishing and public speaking. Opportunities in these arenas could come up now and the transits now could bring in big news and big opportunities.  Some of these will have some tilt to the past but there are also wonderful possibilities for totally new ideas and ventures.

The 9th house that is highlighted for you this month is all about asking bigger questions and finding transcendent solutions.  Imagine looking at any issue in your life from the top of a mountain.  The view from this perspective can often bring solutions not thought of before.  Albert Einstein said, “We cannot solve problems with the same line of thinking that created the problem.”  Take this idea to anything that ails you at this time and watch the magic ?

February 2022 is a hybrid month, split into two very distinct energies, retrograde and direct. For most of the month, the retrograde energies (both Mercury and Venus) are strong, even though both planets are direct as of February 3, as their shadow periods continue. Mercury’s shadow period ends February 24 and that of Venus ends March 3. So starting March 3 and running though April 27 we have our next and BEST LAUNCH period of the whole year. That window is fantastic for big decisions, moves, agreements, big purchases, and launching new businesses or other new ventures into the world, or starting something completely new.

Until around February 24, plans that were made month are likely to change and leaving yourself as unscheduled as possible will leave room for last-minute magic in the form of invites or opportunities that you can more easily show up for if you leave the space for them.

Venus has a lot of areas of rulership: love, relationships, money, finances, design, self-esteem, and more. While many news things will likely come in this month from the other aspects and transits occurring, this retrograde tends to bring our focus back to the past or in a state of enjoyment of or working with things we have already created. If you have to make any decisions or take any big steps in the areas of love, money, design (including physical procedures), you really need to be informed on the Do’s and Donts of this transit!  You can get up to speed on this in my special video on the topic and my Venus retrograde through the signs and houses series.

Unusually long-stretching Capricorn influence (and extra strong because of multiple Cap placements) brings focus on business, taxes, strategy, financial planning and other topics of finance, employment, and implementing systems for now and the future. Taking care anything practical is a great way to use this energy.

Aquarius influences bring a strong social component, and the draw to connect with like-minded people or in some way workin on a common goal with a group.

Jupiter Trine Uranus is a wonderful aspect that is especially strong from February 17-21 (but whose great influence is still in full effect from mid-January through mid-March).

Some keynotes of this transit can include sudden and profound healing of addictions, fear, or other psychological issues, having the urge to do something different and it really working out, learning about the power that rest and quiet can have and surprise and life-changing insights coming from that peaceful space of personal and private pursuits.
