Capricorn – September 2023

The Sun will roll through your 9th house this month activating your interest in places far away and sense of adventure. Travel yearnings abound and in instances where you can’t make a journey physically, stepping into being an “armchair warrior” will do, where watching, reading, or listening to others’ adventures can help fill that void for travel.  Another fun way to bring the energy of different geographies into your own without leaving your town is to have culinary adventures with “theme” nights with cooking from different countries and cultures.

This is a fantastic time to learn or deepen knowledge of another language 🙂

Potentials for long-distance or international travel are especially amplified at this time. But the odds are greatly increased that any travel adventures, near or far, await. While this time holds many great potentials for travel from the astrological perspective, of course, the manifestation of these potentials will be dependent on world and your local circumstances. To whet your travel appetite for the future and have more support and resources for trips you would love to take at some point, check out my travel blog AstrologyKissedTravelBliss.com. If it is possible to get your passport app going or find the passport you already have, so your ready in case a potential comes up, then that may be a good idea 😉 This area being lit up in your chart could bring something notable regarding international business, languages, connections, even without actual travel. Future trips might start to take shape bringing great joy and excitement.

The Sun’s movement through your 9th house can also activate spiritual studies or church-related activities.  Inspiration and optimism often accompany this transit so have a notebook ready for the great ideas and insights that will roll through you.  Opportunities to step up your participation in Spirit-driven activities will be more likely at this time. 

The desire to learn will likely be strong this month.  Going on a ‘library bender’ is a fantastic way to use this energy.  Courses of study and education of any kind could be a great use of the current and upcoming energy.  This could be an amazing time to take courses of study for hobby, self-development, or professional reasons.

Intuition will be strong and favoring it over logic may prove extra fruitful now.

Writing, publishing, and public speaking projects are lit up BEAUTIFULLY at this time!

The draw to teach may be very strong now and favors creation of curriculum or other offerings. The house lit up for you now is also the house of publishing and public speaking. Opportunities in these arenas could come up now and the transits now could bring in big news and big opportunities.  Some of these will have some tilt to the past but there are also wonderful possibilities for totally new ideas and ventures.

The 9th house that is highlighted for you this month is all about asking bigger questions and finding transcendent solutions.  Imagine looking at any issue in your life from the top of a mountain.  The view from this perspective can often bring solutions not thought of before.  Albert Einstein said, “We cannot solve problems with the same line of thinking that created the problem.”  Take this idea to anything that ails you at this time and watch the magic ?

Both Mercury and Venus awaken from their retrograde slumbers in September and as they do, you will see many things that had stalled out start to blaze ahead.

Venus retrograde has been a long transit with the pre-transit shadow period beginning June 19, the actual retrograde starting July 23 staying retrograde until September 4, with the post-transit shadow period lasting until October 6, 2023.

Venus rules many areas of life, including love, relationships, money, finances, design, and fashion. Recent months likely brought opportunities to reconsider, address, and fine-tune things in these arenas of life. More clarity may come on any Venus-ruled topics that had been cast into uncertainty during the retrograde cycle.

Even though the retrograde energies will be dissipating every day, they will still be present. Mercury’s retrograde cycle begins with the pre-transit retrograde period, on August 4, the actual retrograde is from August 23 – September 4, and the post-transit flow rolls until the end of September.

Mercury’s retrograde may have brought uncertainty to plans already made, breakdown of appliances and communication, and difficulty planning too far ahead. As it moves direct, there may be more ease in planning and seeing future steps may come into view and it may be easier to hear others and be heard.

As Mercury and Venus drive certain things ahead, Jupiter will go into retrograde and certain things will start to lose fizzle.

September brings us into the heat of the next eclipse season. We have two powerful eclipses in October 2023 and both of them will become super active with potential for transformation in September. Eclipse season begins around 4-6 weeks BEFORE the actual eclipses so we may even see some August manifestations raring up. 

Changes to the Me/We sectors and My stuff/Our stuff arenas are major themes from these two eclipse cycles.

We have the second of the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle which began earlier in 2023 with the Black Moon Eclipse in Aries on April 20. For this cycle, we have a Solar eclipse at 21° of Libra on October 14.

This is a powerful time of closing out of themes and storylines that began in towards the end of 2021, when the Taurus/Scorpio Eclipse cycle began. The last of this cycle occurs October 28, 2023 with a lunar eclipse at 5• of Taurus. Major endings and new beginnings are very likely now!

Strong Leo energy all month bring continue to bring fiery creative potentials. Romantic potentials, fun and frolic, focus on children, hobbies and pleasure, are all increased in potential. Extra creativity may be available now and chances to lead, inspire, or in other ways show the world your gifts will abound.

Powerful Virgo transits bring focus on details and a discerning eye for streamlining work and improving productivity. Organization, pets/animals, health, and your daily routine are also under the magnifying glass at this time and may need some attention or you many have the desire to be proactive.

Growing Libra influence will bring partnerships and relationships of every kind front and center. If you need help now, the perfect person could show up soon. If you are looking to connect with others, opportunities will abound.
