Capricorn – October 2022

The Sun brings attention to your 10th house this month.  The 10th house rules your work and career.  This transit could bring hard-won recognition.  It could also bring scrutiny from yourself as you look at your work and see if it matches what you really want to do.  In the case where you are not really excited about your field of work or workplace, you may be very motivated to make some strides towards changing that. 

Employment changes or the process of considering a change or looking into options are all more likely at this time. Be open to the possibility that although stress and uncertainty may be brought by these changes, there could be opportunities to create more of the life you have envisioned for yourself that you were too hesitant to jump into without the intense provocation or other incentive that could come now.

The Suns placement in this sector could bring some insights into your true calling and luck in finding a more perfect match.

New opportunities or ones from the past through ideas, clients, contacts, or anything else could help in a big way. This is a great time start (or continue) to put together your plan for changing directions. Taking steps in the backdrop, experimenting with a new path, and researching/gathering information are well-supported at this time. 

If you already love your work you may find you are extra-excited now about it and could be entering a Renaissance Period with your work.  Past labors can show up now in major ways. Opportunities, projects, or contacts from the past can resurface with new life. Opportunities can come in suddenly or things planned in the past could work out in a wonderful way now.

Prepare to be busy and have a focus on business, getting organized, taking care of practical necessities in the forefront.

The area of the chart that is accentuated now also rules your reputation out in the world.  Your name and work might become greater known during this transit 🙂

For those who are retired or for whom ‘work/career’ isn’t relevant, and also for all others still in the workplace, the 10th house focus may cause you to be asking for or finding insights about your higher purpose.  Contemplation about a plan that would put you on a path where you feel ‘on track’ is great use of the potentials of this month and education and looking into options are great ways to use the the energies so there is plenty of room to explore, wonder, and dream, as well as looking deep into things relevant to your higher work in the world all month and beyond through the year.  Even if you can’t see exactly where you are going, taking obvious steps that present themselves now can feel very fulfilling and lead you on a powerful path of positive change.  It is an amazing time to ‘try things on’ and experiment. Something exciting to say YES to could come up that brings you great joy.

Since this house also rules father energy, you could find yourself focusing on your dad (or other father figure), or some situation of note may come up involving him. Maybe is going through something and he needs help or he could be assisting you in some way. It might be a good time to check in with him or work on your relationship in some way.

October 2022 steps into the heat of the last eclipse season of the year! The bubbling up of manifestations from the Scorpio Solar Eclipse at 2° on October 25 and Taurus Lunar Eclipse at 16° on November 8 are likely to start to surface even in September as “eclipse season” begins around 4-6 weeks BEFORE the actual eclipses start. Eclipse season tends to bring non-negotiable endings, exciting new beginnings, profound spiritual transformation, and surprising trajectory shifts. Drama, anxiety, insomnia, and feelings of profound changes afoot are all things that we tend to experience more notably as eclipse season deepens.

The tides are now strongly flowing inward and backward as we are both finishing Mercury retrograde AND officially starting Mars retrograde this month (with the Mars retro officially starting October 30). Dealing with things that come in to you on the tides, clearing up unfinished business, editing or revising, and leaving space for last minute magic. Leaving yourself as unscheduled as possible helps you to leave room for sudden surprise opportunities ( I like to call this “Last-Minute Magic”) that tend to arise during the retro times. 

Libra and Scorpio energies both bring focus to the partnership sectors for all signs. The questions and answers to what is on your mind right now may have important pieces within people close to you and others who may come in at this time. Issues or sweetness can come back from the past, you may not to pick which comes in but it is of utmost important to deal with what comes to you instead of trying to force progress in any area of life. Finances, including shared money (like with spouse, partner, government, institution, etc) are also a top priority.

Mars in Gemini brings fun relief in your busy schedule and just enough distraction for you to return refreshed to your list of things to do. If you are a writer or are otherwise creating spoken, written, or other crafts, you will be highly creative and soar through your projects. Working in short spurts might help you to be the most productive.
