Capricorn – October 2021

The Sun brings attention to your 10th house this month.  The 10th house rules your work and career.  This transit could bring hard-won recognition.  It could also bring scrutiny from yourself as you look at your work and see if it matches what you really want to do.  In the case where you are not really excited about your field of work or workplace, you may be very motivated to make some strides towards changing that. 

Employment changes or the process of considering a change or looking into options are all more likely at this time. Be open to the possibility that although stress and uncertainty may be brought by these changes, there could be opportunities to create more of the life you have envisioned for yourself that you were too hesitant to jump into without the intense provocation that could come now.

The Suns placement in this sector could bring some insights into your true calling and luck in finding a more perfect match.

New opportunities or ones from the past through ideas, clients, contacts, or anything else could help in a big way. This is a great time start (or continue) to put together your plan for changing directions. Taking steps in the backdrop, experimenting with a new path, and researching/gathering information are well-supported at this time.  Making forward movement is better-indicated towards the end of October and early November.

If you already love your work you may find you are extra-excited now about it and could be entering a Renaissance Period with your work.  Past labors can show up now in major ways Opportunities, projects, or contacts from the past can resurface with new life. Opportunities can come in suddenly or things planned in the past could work out in a wonderful way now.

Prepare to be busy and have a focus on business, getting organized, taking care of practical necessities in the forefront.

The area of the chart that is accentuated now also rules your reputation out in the world.  Your name and work might become greater known during this transit 🙂

For those who are retired or for whom ‘work/career’ isn’t relevant, and also for all others still in the workplace, the 10th house focus may cause you to be asking for or finding insights about your higher purpose.  Contemplation about a plan that would put you on a path where you feel ‘on track’ is great use of the potentials of this month and education and looking into options are great ways to use the the energies so there is plenty of room to explore, wonder, and dream, as well as looking deep into things relevant to your higher work in the world all month and beyond through the year.  Even if you can’t see exactly where you are going, taking obvious steps that present themselves now can feel very fulfilling and lead you on a powerful path of positive change.  It is an amazing time to ‘try things on’ and experiment. Something exciting to say YES to could come up that brings you great joy.

Since this house also rules father energy, you could find yourself focusing on your dad (or other father figure), or some situation of note may come up involving him. Maybe is going through something and he needs help or he could be assisting you in some way. It might be a good time to check in with him or work on your relationship in some way.

October 2021 continues our trek into the inward and backward focus of Mercury retrograde, whose pre-transit shadow period began around September 7. Mercury goes direct around October 18 and the post-transit shadow period clears around November 3. The time from around September 7 through early November brings focus to re-doing, re-vising, re-visiting, and anything that involves energies from the past. It is a fantastic time to wrap up unfinished projects to make room for the next open stars phase which begins in early November. You may notice the energy start clearing for the open phase for forward movement and clarity as we move through the second half of October.

Strong Libra influences bring the topic of partnerships and giving and receiving help, into the forefront. Mercury retrograde in Libra will bring up questions about relationships and/or things from the past coming up to be dealt with or enjoy.

Strong Scorpio energies add deeper dimensions to the relationship stories evolving now and also bring focus to shared finances, loans, debt, taxes, government or other support. The water sign brings high emotion and potentials for major psychological discoveries and healing.

Mercury retrograde dominating the month increases the likelihood of changes to plans, things that seemed set being called into question, miscommunications and electrical items breaking down but also opens great possibilities cleaning up unfinished business, fun blasts from the past, enhanced creativity, and surprise opportunities for fun. Try to leave some time unscheduled to make room for last-minute magic.

Jupiter turns direct this month and along with it, new information about and zest for international travel or other connections, languages, teaching, learning, writing, publishing and speaking may start to gain momentum. Jupiter moving direct can also facilitate finding solutions and can bring renewed hope and optimism.

Saturn also turns direct this month. Lots of factors, including this one this month, open up a time for great progress and advancement.

Eclipse rumblings begin in October as the eclipse ‘season’ of major change starts 4-6 weeks before the actual eclipses. The ending of the Sagittarius/Gemini eclipse cycle that started around March 2020 and runs through early January 2021 will bring a great wrap-up of the energies that started at that time. The new cycle of Taurus/Scorpio eclipses will start to show their trends and this runs from now through the end of 2023.
