Capricorn – December 2022

The Sun flows through your 12th house this month bringing great opportunities for finding inner riches, but there is also a catch … The same house that rules this place of hidden power, also  holds your deepest fears.  What sits as a potential for you at this time is nothing short of pure alchemy ~ taking the deepest and darkest muck in your being, coming from your ancestry, past-life, and this life time, and converting it into shiny, and very valuable, gold is the mission 🙂

Any psychological or spiritual work done at this time holds even more power than usual.  Hypnosis, affirmations, subliminal messaging audio’s, and meditation are all amazing ways to use this energy.

Shamanic work is also extra powerful at this time.  Anything you can do to gather lost soul pieces from people, places, and experiences will be even more profound and effective now.

The 12th house is also the house of dream-time.  Your dreams may be more active now.  Valuable insights about patterns, programs, and future trajectories may be more readily available now.  Consciously using the subconscious space for problem-solving and manifesting is especially potent now.  Posing a problem that needs solution to your subconscious mind before going to bed can help you to use the dream space to effectively work things out, helping you wake up with solutions.  Lucid dreaming (where you become aware that you are dreaming as you are dreaming) may be more active now and if you would like to foster this experience, intentionally working on this now may be very fruitful.

The 12th house is like your attic:  there is a lot to clear out and go through in this space but there is also things there that you will re-find that you will be happy to have back, and other treasures yet to explore.

Quality sleep is a cornerstone of vibrant health and well-being.  This period of time may bring the topic of sleep up in a bigger way through increased trouble sleeping or for some other reason give more impetus to focus on improving sleep.  Also, this time could bring important information or breakthroughs in the arena of sleep.

It is an amazing time for retreats, rest, and unplugging from technology.

This placement is a preparation for your birthday/rebirth time coming soon.  It can be tempting to engage in avoidance behaviors as the 12th house is activated but consciously and gratefully greeting these things swept under the rug can make for an even more powerful birthday/rebirth/manifestation period.

Often in the weeks before birthday time, the things you DON’T want make themselves more apparent to better prepare you to make your birthday wishes to create the things you DO want 🙂  Do the work now and reap the rewards soon.

This month is also chock full of artistic opportunities.  Magical, flowing, creativity is very common during 12th house transits so if you can get time alone to process and create it will likely be very productive.  Also, if you already are working in the arts, opportunities for your craft to go to a bigger level could come now.  You can say yes to opportunities that feel good that may come your way.  Lots of opportunities will abound now, just make sure to read paperwork carefully and make sure you know what you are getting into and take care not to overcommit.

You may feel drawn to bring your hobbies into the professional arena or make advances in your professional artistic work. If you are drawn to push some things out into the world that are ready to be seen, follow your intuition and the synchronicities to guide your decision-making.

December 2022 brings us to the end of the “eclipse season” that began in September.  The heat of the season was really cooking in October and November with major news and events from the Taurus/Scorpio eclipses. The “Me/We” and “My stuff/Our stuff” polarities have been supercharged from these eclipses. Big news and changes to finances and relationships are increased for all signs. See my Youtube horoscopes (or syndicated podcast, Astro Kisses with Annie Botticelli) for October and November 2022 to see additional sign-specific manifestations and the eclipse themes discussed in general and for each sign for October and November will likely echo out through December, as well. While some big events could still roll in, this month will mostly shift us out of the eclipse drama phase and into the integration phase. The non-negotiable endings, exciting new beginnings, profound spiritual transformation, and surprising trajectory shifts that occurred in the previous weeks/months will start to take better shape now.

The tides are still strongly flowing inward and backward as Mars is still in retrograde. Dealing with things that come in to you on the tides, clearing up unfinished business, editing or revising, and leaving space for last minute magic. Look out for sudden surprise opportunities ( I like to call this “Last-Minute Magic”) that tend to arise during the retro times.

Mercury will also go retrograde again in December bringing lots of changes to schedules and plans. Writing plans in pencil instead of pen and leaving flexibility in your commitments this month will bring greater ease, especially from December 12 onward. Being the spider and letting things come to you instead of stretching too far to find them will help you to better focus on giving attention to what shows up. It may not be the best time for planning things in the short or long term but it is great for being present for opportunities that come in suddenly and being present with what needs your attention rather than conjuring projects. It is also an excellent time for research, education, and vision boarding.

Sagittarius energies dominate the first 3 weeks of December. Fun, frolic, and festivities abound as the spiral whirlwind of Sagittarius brings fresh busy-ness and options. Topics like writing, publishing, travel, languages and cultures, international business and immigration are all more likely to take front and center. Buoyancy, hope and enthusiasm get a boost with the Sagittarius placements and the moving direct of its ruler, Jupiter, very recently on November 23. This direct movement will bring life back into many  projects that started to wilt in July.

Mars in Gemini brings fun relief in your busy schedule and just enough distraction for you to return refreshed to your list of things to do. If you are a writer or are otherwise creating spoken, written, or other crafts, you will be highly creative and soar through your projects. Working in short spurts might help you to be the most productive.

Capricorn energies start to solidify later in the month and ground out the spiraling frenzy of the previous weeks. It is a great time to get organized, mop up messes made by the recent activities. Things involving discipline and structure will be easier to muster towards the end of the month and these productive energies continue through most of January 2023.
